"SELLER SAYS"

The things I love about the Fairview/Fletcher area are its pastoral valleys sheltered by majestic mountains; the friendly neighbors and small-town feel; and that it’s close enough to city amenities to feel connected.

We love to eat locally at Hickory Nut Gap Farm, The Local Joint, The Whistle Hop Brewery, Smokey and the Pig, Piazza, Mountain Mojo coffeehouse, Asheville Pizza & Brewing Company South, and Whit’s Custard in Gerber Village. They are all super close and convenient!

Grocery stores and other conveniences are plentiful in both Fairview, Fletcher, and South Asheville — Food Lion, Ingles, Earthfare, Publix; Dollar General, Walmart, Target, Kounty Line Shell Station, Cane Creek Station, and Citgo are all within a short drive!

When we bought this property, we were drawn to the rural setting, the warmth of the neighborhood, the coziness of the house, the layout of the yard, and the friendliness of the community. We love the Asheville area because it offers something for everyone — from its mountain trails to its city streets, the Asheville area is a haven for those who dig the outdoors, and yet its cosmopolitan enough to give you your “city” fix!

A few other things I can mention are how family-friendly our community is — outdoor activities abound, as do educational opportunities for children. There are plenty of food venues for the entire family. Hickory Nut Gap Farm has weekly “barn dances” for families during summer months, seasonal festivals and family-friendly activities and events, and a great space for kids to play! Chimney Rock is less than 20 minutes down the road with paddle-boats, waterfalls, rock-climbing, gem-mining, and more. Kick back at the Cane Creek Community Pool, or check-out a book at Fairview Library. Our area offers a rich and diverse arts & music scene — check it out! We love how close we are to booming South Asheville and rising Fletcher — both of which have a YMCA. There’s even a Gold’s Gym, and Orange Theory Fitness!

South Asheville boasts great places to eat (especially in Biltmore Park!) such as Luella’s Barbecue, Hickory Nut Tavern, Neo Burrito, Cold Stone Creamery, Green Sage Cafe, Mosaic Cafe, White Duck Taco, Tupelo Honey, Farm Burger, and more! Local breweries abound in these areas, such as Blue Ghost, Sierra Nevada, and Thirsty Monk. Furthermore, there are two movie theaters within a short drive — Regal Cinemas in Biltmore Park, and Carolina Cinemas off Hendersonville Rd. You can’t go wrong!Asheville has something for every hobbyist — this area is heavenly for those who love outdoor sports such as trail running, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, or even floating down the river! Our neighborhood is great for community, caring, and friendly conversation.

Our utility costs are reasonable. We are conveniently serviced by Duke Energy, who respond to winter storm outages in a timely manner (super important in the mountains!), and have water through the City of Asheville. We have year-round long-range mountain views of Bear Wallow Mountain, and can’t speak enough of how happy this beautiful setting has made us during our time here!
