“Seller Says” -

The things I love about Asheville are the many beautiful hiking trails that are accessible to the Blue Ridge Parkway, grow local source local mentality leads to unique and delicious restaurants, rich history and architecture, plus all the wonderful local breweries.

We love to eat at the following restaurants: Wayside Bar and Grill, Moe’s Original Barbecue, Corner Kitchen, Little Bee Thai, Blue Dream Curry House (seriously, THE best curry around!), Dobra Tea...so many excellent restaurants in town, too many to name!

There’s a great selection of grocery stores such as Whole Foods Market, Ingles, Publix, Harris Teeter, Earth Fare, Trader Joe’s, French Broad Co-op, and Asian markets in South and West Asheville.

When we bought the property we were drawn to the high ceilings, lovely bamboo flooring, the spacious open concept floor plan, and great natural lighting throughout. I love that the house is situated on the corner of a dead end road. Quaint yard that doesn’t require a lot of upkeep. Both off street and on street parking. Asheville is wonderful mild summers and winters, beautiful autumn leaf season, temperate rainforest has lead to highest density of biodiversity on the planet, great for foraging.

Great local bookshops, diverse culture, and a plethora of unique, independent downtown shops. Something else I can mention is how incredible the arts and music scene is! All over downtown you’ll discover many talented street performers, artists, and craftsmen. Of course we all like different things, and some of our favorite hobbies and interests include photography, mixing, mastering, and performing live music at local venues and busking on the street, hiking, playing classic arcade games and a few rounds of skeeball at Retrocade in West Asheville, enjoying a good book at some top notch coffee shops like High Five Coffee, Odd’s Cafe, and 10th Muse.

Our neighborhood is great for mid-day and evening walks, super friendly and welcoming neighbors (southern hospitality!), excellent schools, it’s easily traversed by foot, peaceful and quiet, no through traffic, close to the highway and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Our utility costs are better than we’ve experienced. Electricy is provided by Duke Energy, water and sewer services are provided by the city of Asheville, and our Internet (fiber optic) is through AT&T. I had Buckingham Electric install a surge protector about a year ago. I highly recommend them. Our electric bill averages about $60 per month, water and sewerage about $80 every other month, and Internet is $60 a month.
