“Seller Says” -

The things I love about Hot Springs are that it is a small, close knit town with very low crime. It offer lots of outdoor activities like rafting on the French Broad River, hiking the Appalachian Trail, amazing stocked trout streams, relaxing at Hot Springs Spa, shopping, restaurants and more.

Our favorite go-to spot in the neighborhood is Dave's 209. We can actually walk there from our home. Great diner food. If you want more choices we love Smokey Mountain Diner, in Hot Springs, or the Iron Horse Restaurant in Hot Springs has an amazing filet mignot.

We have several close choices for groceries, Trust General Store carries the necessities about 5 minutes away, Ingles in Marshall is about 35 minutes away.

We have lived in this town since I was very small, my husband and I both graduated from Spring Creek High School, which later became Spring Creek Elementary where our children went to school until it closed in the early 90's. We love this area, so quiet and welcoming and the ground is so fertile for gardening.

The Hot Springs area and Madison County are wonderful because they have so many outdoor activities; rafting, mountain biking, zip-lining, hunting, fishing, hiking, high school sports, award winning schools and many churches to choose from. It is a wonderful place to raise children with low property taxes but close to many larger towns within an hour drive; in North Carolina we have Marshall, Mars Hill, Weaverville, Asheville, Waynesville, etc. and in Tennesse we have, Greeneville, Newport, Jonesborough and Johnson City. Let's not forget Gatlinburg and Dollywood are only 1.5 hours away!

The best interior features of the home are the huge kitchen with walk in pantry, the open floor plan with den (Mom's sewing and piano room), and the large whirlpool tub in the master bath. Outside is all about the views and the massive covered porches to enjoy them on. This is a great place to start a new more sustainable lifestyle or just sit back and enjoy the views. Room to garden and grow.

Our neighborhood, Spring Creek, is great for community. We have a very active community center to keep everyone connected, and the July 4th fireworks are spectacular.

Our utility cost are very reasonable. We have French Broad Electric that averages about $150/month. We have well water and the trash drop-off point is about 1/2 mile from the house by the community center.
