Seller Says:

The things I love about Asheville are as follows: The diversity of culture, shops and restaurants are very good and unique. It is very conveniently located to great medical facilities and VA hospital. Public libraries are close by and the arts and museums and entertainment centers are a great change from routine of work.

We love to eat at the following restaurants: Bone Fish, Carrabba's, Twelve Bones, Brasilias Churrasco Steakhouse, Apollo Flame Italian, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Rezas La Carettas Mexican and Corner Kitchen.

Grocery stores are plentiful and approximately 20 minutes away such as Ingels, Publix, Aldi, Fresh Market, Earth Fare and Whole Foods.

When we bought the property we were drawn to the beautiful setting of home on the hill. Only 20 minute drive to most everything such as outlet malls, churches we attend, to parks and downtown. The peaceful surroundings with beautiful creek running aside driveway. The house appeared cozy and functional with few neighbors.

The Asheville area is wonderful because of experiencing the beauty of all four seasons, especially the spectacular fall colors, without extreme temperatures (mild winters and summers). Blue Ridge Parkway, Folk Art Center, VA Hospital, Fletcher Park, Lakes, hiking trails, white water rafting, Mt. Mitchell, Pisgah Mountain, Arboretum, Biltmore House, Grove Park Inn, and Chimney Rock are all nearby and people will drive for miles away to see such beauty.

A few with things that we can mention are the weather, no tornadoes, hurricanes as we are protected by mountains from severe natural disasters. Summers are so mild, and winters are short yet many beautiful white snowfalls. Great diversity of wildlife and birds.

This is a great place to have a pet away from the road yet a wonderful road to take our pet for walks. We enjoy the fireplaces in our home both upstairs and downstairs. We enjoy our beautiful large bright kitchen for cooking.

Of course we all like different things, but we enjoy hiking, biking, taking walks, fishing, bird watching, barbecue on back porch and entertain friends and family. Love playing piano, reading or just sitting on back porch and enjoying the surrounding woods while drinking our morning coffee.

Our neighborhood is great because it is so very peaceful and quiet with very little traffic sounds. Our neighbors are always looking out for each other, and are very cooperative and friendly. We are in rural community yet very close to the city of Asheville and South Asheville. Quiet place to take walks and we often see wild turkey, white squirrels, and occasional black bear and deer meandering in the woods. Just a walk away is place for us to pick blueberries, rasberries, beehives to purchase fresh local honey, free range chickens/eggs and grass fed beef. We are surrounded by azalia, dogwood, mountain laurel and rhododendrum.

Our utility costs are significantly reduced especially our electric bill since we had the four level vinyl siding spray paint job put on our home. We use the following services: Duke Power Electrical, Waste Pro for reliable trash pick up, Freeman & or Suburban Gas for propane, and Able Sewage and Septic systems.
