This property is a rare find of almost 6 acres a few blocks from downtown Weaverville! This special property is a partly remodeled home with a lower level that maybe used as a VRBO or airbnb.

4 beds with a 5th bed if closet is added. A livestock old barn is on the property with two levels and stalls, and a large pond that is stocked with Carp, Large Mouth Bass and others! 30m airport and 15m to downtown. See this LIVE on the MLS

Asheville. Lots of specimen plants and trees from around the world, as well as plenty of gently sloping pasture land.

Would be a great mini-farm or gardens. Greenhouse. Central Vac. Hook ups for washer dryer up and downstairs. New floors throughout. Incredible views with some limb cutting - pictures available before the trees on the property grew! See this LIVE on the MLS

SELLER SAYS

The things we love about our town are the easy access to Asheville, the different events on the Arts, Music Concerts, 4th of July and Christmas parades, Vance's recreation of Civil war activities.

The town is quaint and quiet, and full of things to do. Many galleries displaying local artists creations.

Family recreation is available at Lake Louise and the Nature Trail Park. School's activities and events all through the year.

We love to eat in the great variety of restaurants like Well Bread Bakery, Twisted Laurel, Tommy's and the innumerable fast food places available.

Grocery Stores are plentiful. Publix, Ingles, Aldi's provide great opportunities for grocery shopping. We also have a Tailgate Market on Wednesdays which offers fresh organic produce.

When my parents brought the property they were drawn to the size and beauty of the land, the scenic mountain views, the gardening opportunities, the secluded feeling though being so close to Main street, five minutes access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and its hiking trails.

My father, being a gardener and a Chemist, imported many unique trees from Canada and Europe, which are not found anywhere else in the Western North Carolina area and he specialized in growing gorgeous, giant Rhododendrons and azaleas, gladioli and dahlias, plus many beautiful flowers which still bring delight all year around. He won many first places and best of show at The Arboretum where he exhibited his flowers every Spring.

The Weaverville area is wonderful because of having a small town feeling but with plenty to offer in the Arts, community projects, walking and hiking nature trails, family fun and fishing at Lake Louise.

A few other things we can mention are that this property is completely unique. The builder built five other homes in the area and each one is different from each other. There are no comparable houses in the Western North Carolina area. The profusion of unique Rhododendrons, azaleas and other flowers growing in the property gives a fabulous show of color from March to October. The large space for a garden of either vegetables of flowers on one side of the house, the meadow going down towards the spring fed pond with large Israeli Carp, Large Mouth Bass, Goldfish and others, give opportunities to great fishing.

The woods right behind the house are full of wild life like bears, deer, coyotes, foxes, groundhogs and others.

Our favorite past time is to sit on the deck or the covered porch and observe all the wild life that comes around the property. Plenty of birds including hawks, pileated woodpeckers and others, make bird watching a great hobby.

Our hobbies are bird and wild life watching, gardening, hiking and working on puzzles. The neighborhood is quiet, mountain location with great views of the Smoky Mountains, very efficient Police and Fire Department, and stores like Lowe's, Walmart and Ace Hardware Store.

Our utility costs are very low. Duke Energy Progress and Weaverville Water companies provide excellent service of electricity and water/sewer.

Apart from the many wonderful unique trees like Cedars of Lebanon, Blue Spruces, Ginko and Japanese Sugar Maple, Red Magnolia, and others, in the property there is a circular driveway around an 1,000 year old Oak tree, which leaves are almost a foot long at the end of the season.
