Seller Says

We love so many things about Asheville - the restaurants, the proximity to wonderful hiking, kayaking, fishing, and mountain biking, and the Biltmore Estate which is such a treasure with so much to offer year round.

We love to find great food at bargain prices - Cocula and Ay Caramba for Mexican food, Okie Dokie is our favorite for BBQ, Wild Wok for sushi, India Garden has a great lunch buffet, Apollo Flame for Greek/Italian. For special occasions, we love Lobster Trap, Green Tea, Carrabas and Bonefish Grill. We look for value in grocery stores as well, which takes us to Aldi , Grocery Outlet just a mile away and Hopey. We also love Earthfare for their weekly specials and Ingles for everything else.

When we bought the property, we loved that we found incredible mountain views with flat open space surrounded by woods with proximity to neighbors yet private.

Convenient access was important for work, shopping and schools. We love living on the east side of Asheville because its so convenient without the congested traffic that is found in all other directions.

A few other things to mention - There are blueberry and raspberry bushes, apple trees and a small garden. There is a small spring-fed creek running the length of the property and a large rock garden on the west side of the house.

There is approximately 8 of the 9.5 acres that is accessible via a cleared logging trail for hiking, biking and gathering firewood. A long zip line suitable for adventurous youth that our boys enjoyed with their friends.

We enjoy motorcycle riding and the easy and fast access (about 2 miles) to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

In the winter we love to ski at Cataloochee, Wolf and Sugar Mountain. In the summer, we mountain bike at Bent Creek and DuPont State Forest and love seeking out new places to hike.

Our neighborhood is so convenient. We are only 7 minutes from downtown Asheville and about the same from Black Mountain. There are 8 homes on our street and all of the neighbors are friendly, very respectful of one another, and all love living here. There is no through traffic on our street - just us neighbors.

We have taken measures to keep electric costs low such as retrofitting all lights with LEDs and implementing thermostat set back for heating and cooling.

This house has a large and private suite with a bedroom, full bath, kitchenette and living room. It could be used as guest quarters via access through the house or as a separate airbnb or long term rental through a separate outside entrance.
