In January, I converted the garage to a gameroom for vacation rental guests. I constructed a temporary wall separating one bay from the other two and created the gameroom in the two bays. This has been a great added attraction for guests as it has a ping pong table, darts, bag toss as well as a TV with an Xbox. This space is insulated both on the roof as well as overhead so the garage is essentally controlled space and stays relatively warm even in winter.

In addition to the lovely home, there is a 7 - bay barn with a dry storage compartment that would be ready for horses with little effort.

Of course the house is a timberframe - the timbers were reclaimed from the Toronto subway system so the timbers were actually cut in the late 1940's. Fresh paint in the lower level and several rooms that were the original orange have been painted to match the rest of the upper level. The wood floors are wormy maple and all doors are solid maple. There is a complete kitchen in the lower level as well as an additional dish washer in the laundry/butler's pantry. As I a sure you noticed when you visited, we have also added a hot tub for guests - another highly requested feature for vacation rentals.
