Great walking to and around downtown. It has a recreation park by the river and several yearly festivals. You have great mountain views all around and are able to fish or float down the Pigeon river. Active high school sports teams with a good rivalry. Local brewery is right on the river and can be your final float destination.
Several other breweries nearby as well as great local restaurants and a gym to work it off afterwards. Two of our regulars in the afternoons is the patio live music at the Southern Porch and Bear waters Brewery.
We even have authentic Italian at Dimaggio's. We also like mornings at the Paper Town Coffee shop. Nearby we love the Chef's Table in Waynesville. From a local neighborhood grocery store to several chains are nearby in Canton.
The quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The quick and easy accessibility to Asheville and all its wonders, along with all the great outdoor opportunities from hiking, to white water and rock climbing. A few other things are quick access to Blue Ridge Parkway and a caring and compassionate school system. We love the competitive local school sports teams. We enjoy our neighborhood walks and hiking in the mountains. It is a small and quiet neighborhood with its own neighborhood grocery store. Friendly neighbors looking out for each other. Where everyone speaks to the morning and afternoon walking crowds. Our costs are in line with what our friends and neighbors are.
