We love how quiet our town is, yet it is growing and getting more name stores.
The two main places we love to eat is Maggie Valley and Waynesville with an occasional trip to Asheville. The new super Ingles is good for shopping as is Walmart and now Publix is coming, and I am sure that will be wonderful.
We were attracted to this home because of the quiet, vistas of the beautiful mountains and valleys. We love the wildlife that is abundant yet they are not seen a lot. The house is beautiful and large.
It is homey with lots of room.The lack of traffic noise and hustle and bustle is wonderful. Though it is a few miles to town and stores that is for us a mini vacation.
Our hobbies include computer research, cooking, keeping the house clean and neat.
We love that our neighborhood is quiet and very serene. Though not overly neighborly, everyone is very friendly and helpful to each other.
Electric is the most expensive utility IF the baseboard heaters are going a lot in the winter, but with two fireplaces, one conventional and one Russian fireplace they do the job very nicely.
This amazing lodge has great character and rustic charm throughout, including a massive tree trunk and spiral staircase extending through 3 stories. With 2 Master Suites on the main level, additional bedroom upstairs, and two bonus rooms, there is plenty of room for out of town guests, in-home offices and extra storage.
The soaring great room features floor to ceiling windows, exposed timbers, and cabin chic interiors! A perfect home for the gourmet cabin lover looking for amazing value.
Directions: From Waynesville, take S. Main St to left on Walnut, left on US-19S/US-276 (N. Dellwood Rd), right on US-276, left on Hemphill, left on Shelton Cove Road. House is on far side of paved lot.
