The people here are truly warm and have found to be welcoming in this area. The seasons are gorgeous, and there is always something to do or places to see!
I LOVE EVERYTHING about this area! From kyaking, hiking, bonfires, music, and festivals. There is something for everyone!!!! I love hiking, kyaking on the surrounding lakes and rivers, and motorcycling when I get the chance. I also make stainglass.
I have no neighborhood so to speak. What I have is beauty, wildlife, and visitors that want to relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of the mountains with lots of hiking, and sitting on the porch!
My utilities have been very reasonable here. I have Duke Energy and Freeman gas utilities. Being a log home has been very efficient.
