The things I love about our town are that we are centrally located. We can either go

shopping in Asheville or Weaverville because they are both a nice 15 minute drive away. The neighbors are friendly and courteous.

We love to eat at the following restaurants: We mostly eat at home, but on occasion we venture out to some of

the great local restaurants in Asheville or Weaverville like the Twisted Laurel and Bier Garden. On occasion we may go the extra mile and take a trip Waynesville for its downtown fun. We do enjoy visits to the Starbucks on Leicester Hwy. The baristas are the friendliest we have ever encountered. As a matter of fact the whole Ingles staff are great and very friendly.

Grocery stores are plentiful and there are a variety. You can either head up to the Publix in Weaverville, Ingles or towards Asheville where you can find Harris Teeter, or Trader Joes depending upon your mood. There is a Walmart and Lowes in both towns which is very convenient.

When we purchased the property, we were drawn to the layout of the land. It is a nice corner lot with plenty of room for our kids to play. The neighbors are near, but not too close like in town. Plenty of privacy and a very quiet community.

The Marshall/Leicester area is wonderful,we have breath taking fall scenery with colorful leaves, a few snow

days a year where the kids can go sledding or snowboarding (we have the perfect hill for that), build a snowman, and an occasional snowball fight. The spring and summers provide a many outdoor activities as well, like catching lightning bugs, watching praying mantises, or building a campfire to make smores.

The sunrises over the mountains is spectacular, and the evenings are romantic moments with sipping a glass of wine or beer brewed by one of the many local breweries while sitting and relaxing on the back deck.

One of the best things about this area is the wildlife that comes and visits, we can sit on the porch in the evening and see deer cross the yard, rabbits playing, we've even seen fox and wild turkeys.

Our latest hobby is rock painting. Asheville is a very artistic town, we love painting rocks and leaving them for others to find.

Our neighborhood is a great place to live in especially when raising children. Neighbors are there to help when needed, and protective of the community. The night skies are remarkable, there is no light pollution like you would find in many cities and communities. This makes it easy to see stars, planets and the Milky Way. The sight is awe inspiring, you feel like you can reach up and touch them. A star gazers paradise.
