SELLER SAYS

The things we love about Hendersonville are ENDLESS!

We are minutes away from Pisgah National Forest, DuPont National Forest (where The Hunger Games was filmed), the Green River Gorge, Mills River, French Broad River, Davidson River (all of which offer hiking, camping and fishing etc.), and The Kellogg Center (for a quick walk through the trees)! In short- hiking, camping, fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, tubing, and family time! Need we say more!?

We love to eat at Shine—the escargot and Shine Slushies (alcohol included :)) are amazing! Never Blue—best burger in town. Pi Squared for pizza (we love the Fig-et About It, Supremes and Greek Town).

Grocery stores are plentiful and we have our favorites for sure! Ingles is a short drive down the road where we love to frequent the bakery and wine selection! Harris Teeter, Fresh Market and Publix are just a bit further down the road where we do the bulk of our shopping (other than enjoying the fresh produce from our neighborhood CSA)! When we bought the property we were drawn to the dramatic lines and large vaulted ceilings in the main living room. We love that all of the bedrooms are upstairs and that the main living is downstairs—and of course—THE POOL! There is absolutely nothing better than taking a dip in the pool on a hot summer day—step into the living room for a snooze or the kitchen are for a quick snack and beer...it couldn’t get any better!

The Hendersonville/Asheville area is an amazing area to live. We’re originally from Northern Michigan and we (not surprisingly) run into a lot of Michiganders!

The weather is gorgeous and each season has something wonderful to offer! The summer is warm and there are plenty of swimming holes to cool off in. Camping in the fall during the color change is breathtaking.

The spring Dogwoods in bloom are a site to see and the winter offers a quiet calm that is welcomed.

We love how safe and friendly our neighborhood is. Within a few weeks of moving in we had neighbors knocking on our door, offering baked goods, coffee, and welcome packet complete with names and phone numbers of our fellow neighbors!

We love how are big Alaskan Malamute puppy Shiva, is known throughout the neighborhood, and we have had many-a-neighbor offer to bring her back after she has strolled the streets on what we like to call—her puppy adventures!

We love to lay outside on our patio loungers, enjoying the warm starry nights, the tiki torches, and taking a dip in the pool—it’s our own private oasis. We have a variety of hobbies, a lot of which we can enjoy right in our neighborhood/home! We like to take our dog Shiva for a walks; we love to have our neighbors over for drinks; and we love to spend time together in this beautiful home— whether we’re swimming in the pool, playing board games, grilling or gardening, this property has it all!

Our neighborhood is great for porch parties, doggie play dates, neighborhood bbq’s, pool parties (at our house:)), and local produce (local CSA farm in the neighborhood)! Our utility costs are right on point, if not lower than expected! Duke Energy is our electric ($75 average—varies depending on the season and usage), Hendersonville City Water is our water ($35 average—varies depending on season and usage). Dominion Energy is our gas ($90 average—varies depending on season and usage). We were pleasantly surprised that all utility costs were less than our utilities in our MUCH SMALLER (900 sq. ft.) Asheville apartment.
