Seller Says

The things we love about the quaint small town of Burnsville in the mountains of North Carolina are art tours of many local artist studios, unique art galleries downtown, and festivals celebrating every season. We love the cool summers with open windows and fresh air and the moderate temperatures throughout the year.

The beautiful Toe River is great for all types of water sports and wonderful fishing. Its Parkway Playhouse is famous for its unique theatre performances and other venues throughout the year. We love to eat at the Garden Deli with its outside eating where we can greet friends and enjoy outstanding food. Other restaurants we enjoy such as Pig and Grits with true Southern cooking , Bubba's Good Eats! casual dining , and Rios for delicious Mexican food. Traveling only a few miles to such towns as Mars Hill, Weaverville and of course Asheville offers a wide range of restaurants with a variety of food for every palate.

Grocery stores such as Ingles offer a good variety of fresh produce, meats and a great selection of seafood. The store is also known for its good selection of wines and it is only 5 minutes from our home.

When we bought the property we were drawn to its gorgeous views and open green area where neighbors gather daily. Our grounds are lush woodlands filled with rhododendrons, hydrangeas and dogwood.

The Asheville area, which we are a part of is truly unique with a vibrant downtown with so many excellent and varied restaurants and a great number of breweries. The streets are alive with year round activities. It is truly a fun town.

A few other things that drew us to the Asheville are the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore House, the Grove Park Inn, Beaver Dam Lake with walking trails, and the French Broad River with tubing, canoeing, and nearby zip lining. For those who enjoy skiing, Wolf Laurel ski resort only a few miles away. We are proud of our local Mayland Community College which is ranked in the top 10 Community Colleges in America. Mayland has one of the largest observatories in the country.

We enjoy hiking and bicycling along the Blue Ridge Parkway and numerous mountain trails and paths. We enjoy four beautiful and distinct seasons and all from back deck.

We enjoy all the beauty of nature the Western North Carolina mountains.

Our neighborhood is great for its small size with a gazebo where neighbors gather for good food and cool breezes with a breath taking view of Mount Celo.

Our utility costs are much better than we have experienced before. The electric utility coop has rates that compare favorably with other locales where we have lived. We have city water with very low rates and high quality.
