Seller Says:

"The things we love about Hendersonville-East Flat Rock are its interesting history, restaurant dining, unique small-town apprearance and specialty shops, and the variety of available activities: Flat Rock Playhouse, movie theater, etc. and including close proximity to numerous moountain hiking trails. We love to eat the following restaurants: Posteros, Renzo's, 131 Main (Higher end restaurants).

Favorites: Never Blue, Outback Steakhouse, Dixie Diner, Mikes on Main, Hubba Hubba BBQ and many more to experience.

There is an expanding variety of grocery stores in close proximity: We typically shop at Ingles & Walmart. New Publix is under construction nearby. Specialty markets like Fresh Market are also very enticing. (Close to Stein-mart) We were drawn to our property because of downtown Hendersonville and the beautiful views. And hardly any traffic. Quietness. And the views of the forest and the mountains. All are at different times of the seasons. Even before retirement, during many business trips to the Asheville-Hendersonville area, the mountains, forests beautiful flora and fauna, fresh air and clear pure water encouraged our decision to purchase this property and build on it.

We loved this area as we vacationed different seasons here to see if we could handle the heat and the cold. There are 4 seasons each with its own unique setting and colorful vista. The winters are very light since moving here ten years ago. The mountain terrain is a natural shelter from warmer summer heat, providing a comfortable evening retreat outdoors. OH! Yes this needs to be mentioned. There is hardly a fly or mosquito flying around while enjoying our open deck in the daytime and evening. We have a forest surrounding us so we are quite sure we have a bat habitat that keeps those mosquitoes away.

A few other things to mention are the forest preserves, DuPont and Pesgaus forests. Great hiking and horseback riding too. Hunger Games was filmed at DuPont. So many beautiful waterfalls to see. There is also White water rafting, fishing etc. close by. The Biltmore Estates in Asheville is a must to tour and see. Serrera Nevada Brewing is great for a tour and has wonderful food. Out doors is beautiful there. Family fun everywhere. Great area for entertaining your friends and relatives who come to visit. We enjoy the friendliness of the people. Many different churches to join close by. It is wonderful to be able to walk downtown and stop in all the wonderful shops and stop in and have lunch at one of the restaurants downtown. We also have several beautiful, Independent Living facilities and Assisted living facilities close by. Our mother came from Florida to be close by us as she aged. She thanked us for inviting her to come here to finish out her life. The stand alone building on the property, away from the house, is ideal for my husbands wood working hobby. Could be used as another garage, your hobby, wood working shop or whatever you want to do with it. Has A/C and heat and running water with a bathroom.

We love the close areas to shop at many specialty shops, malls close by. Plus resale shopping is my favorite. Bowling has been a lot of fun with other couples. Church functions. Eating out for lunches, celebrating new friends birthdays along with long time friends. Hiking is one of my husbands favorite hobby. Also he joined the Honor Guard and has made longtime friends. Beauty shops close by, dentist, doctors, hospitals. You meet so many people and you make a new friend all the time.
