We are also about 15min. from the Downtown Asheville scene with it's gourmet and artisan restaurants.
We have three main grocery stores within minutes, including, Ingles Markets, Bi-Lo's, and Food Lion, as well as, the Farmer's Market and First Step Farms produce stand. We are very close to Sand Hill Venable Elementary School and Enka Intermediate School, as well as, Franklin School of Innovation. Enka Middle School and Enka High School, as well as, Francine Delaney Charter School and New City School are within minutes.
We are also minutes from the Asheville Outlets. When I bought the property I was drawn to the quiet neighborhood, central West Asheville location, contemporary design, and amenities of a homeowner's association, such as not having to maintain a yard or the outside of the residence and snowplowing in the winter. I love the natural beauty of the Asheville area as it is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I enjoy the conveniences of entertainment, restaurants, and outdoor activities. I appreciate the gourmet, artisan, and artistic elements found all around the area, as well as the diversity of music. I love the rich history of the area.I find this neighborhood to be peaceful and friendly, which is often hard to find, especially in the city limits.
I have come to appreciate and enjoy my neighbors and feel safe in and around my home at all times. We have really enjoyed the Buncombe County Sports Complex with its diverse opportunities, as well as, the convenience of travel due to proximity of major interstate, which can not be seen or heard from the residence.
We enjoy visiting the Biltmore Estate, which is an approx. drive of 15-20 minutes, as well as, the Arboretum, WNC Nature Center, and Blue Ridge Parkway (entrance approx. 5 minutes drive). Our neighborhood is quiet, safe, and friendly. We have wildlife that roam through in the early mornings and evenings. The street is lined with trees and a sidewalk. We are very close to the Buncombe County Sports Complex, which includes soccer fields, softball fields, walking/running trail, disc golf course, community garden, and playground.
Pets are welcome and neighbors frequently walk their pets through the neighborhood. The street is a dead-end so traffic is minimal.
Our utility costs usually run approximately $350 a month. Our electricity is through Duke Progress; water, sewer, and trash/recycling is managed by the City of Asheville; Internet and phone are through AT&T; and cable is through Dish Network. Other providers are available in the area.
